overview

A few special times a year Saje produced limited edition and/or collaboration Ultrasonic Diffuser units in unique colours, shapes, and materials.

goal

As Senior designer on these projects, I worked to create newness and originality within a cohesive product range- allowing the limited edition units to shine, while still feeling comfortable sitting amongst the core units. With a focus on minimalism and nature, we worked closely with our vendors and collaborators to create materiality that felt from the earth, and colours that felt at home both in our stores and the end-user’s home.

outcome

Consistently selling out, the units created in 2019/2020 were beloved top-performers, returning in later quarters as spark units and driving the creative direction of the brand in product design for material, colour, and shape use.

Jillian Harris Collaboration - 2020

Aroma Sculpt & Aroma Carve
Influenced by the natural fluting in sand next to water, these units are crafted in a natural ceramic and have an elegant and minimal feel to them, fitting beautifully in varying decor.

Limited Edition Spring - 2021

bringing a pop of colour to our otherwise neutral offerings, these two limited edition units were influenced by the earth tones of eucalyptus and terracotta. crafted in cement they feature a matte finish and natural variation of the stone, with beautiful poring and texture visible.

Holiday - 2020

for the holiday collection our focus was to create a beautiful diffuser backdrop for the bright pops of red and gold in the packaging collection. We wanted these limited edition units to feel at home year-round and avoid a disposable use. to Bring this to life we used ceramic, cement, and polyresin materials, neutral colours and elegantly timeless shapes.

Little Market Collaboration - 2021

The Little market’s beautiful artisan offerings were the springboard for this white cement etched unit, creating a minimal and bohemian unit, with a hand-painted gold line detail.
